COURSES AND TRAINING
He Fifth Lake It is a circular route through mid-mountain landscapes in the Pyrenees of Lleida, between Pallars Jussá, Pallar Sobirá and Alta Ribagorza, at the foot of Aigüestortes and Sant Maurici National Park, through an itinerary divided into five stages, with departure and arrival in La Pobla de Segur.
Throughout more than 100 km we will enjoy one of the most unknown and at the same time most surprising areas of the Pyrenees -Pla de Corts, Vall Fosca and the Manyanet valley- and discovering the lake of Montcortès, the Fifth Lake that we will reach at the end of our journey.
The gastronomy it will be another strong point of the route. From the cuisine of the area we highlight the swivel (chireta), the palpís (babbled), river trout, the quince aioli, the organic meat of the bruna cow and the xisqueta sheep (pallaresa), the mustard and caramelised almonds, sausages such as xolís and secallona, and exquisite cheeses such as tupí cheese and cottage cheese. All this washed down with the wines of the area DO Costers del Segre.
