Muntaneu te proposes to discover the most emblematic corners of the Garrotxa, the best exponent of volcanic landscape from the Iberian Peninsula. The area has about forty volcanic cones and more than 20 lava flows.

The moderate slopes of the Garrotxa, Its diversity and scenic beauty make it an ideal territory for lovers of the trekking.

Day 1. Journey to destination. Accommodation in Olot

Day 2. The viewpoint of the Vall d’en Bas

We begin this trip with one of the most popular routes in the area and that allows you to enjoy two very unique places. On this circular route we will start from Pla d’en Xurri, in Sant Privat d’en Bas to contemplate the impressive Salt del Sallent and the hermitage of Saint Magdalena. The route, circular, starts in the area of The Pines, located about Sant Privat d’en Bas, and goes up through the shady towards Saint Magdalena, between forests and streams.

Day 3. Route of the Volcanoes

Today we will enjoy one of the highlights of this trip. With a circular route, we will discover the largest volcanic area of ​​the Iberian Peninsula.
